THE OPPORTUNITY

You will lead global marketing for Abbott Structural Heart's Transcatheter Mitral and Tricuspid Interventions (TMTI) portfolio - spanning transcatheter edge-to-edge repair (TEER) and transcatheter valve repair and replacement technologies - to drive product innovation, brand strategy, launch excellence, market development, and therapy adoption worldwide.

This role owns the end-to-end marketing strategy for the mitral and tricuspid franchises, integrating upstream and downstream marketing to translate market insights into differentiated value, accelerate adoption, and define future directors for the therapies. The leader sets global positioning, launch standards, and portfolio direction while partnering closely with R&D, Clinical and Medical Affairs, Regional Marketing, and the Commercial organization.

Reporting to the Divisional Vice President, Global Marketing, Strategy & Business Development, Structural Heart, this position leads the global TMTI marketing team with scope to expand as the portfolio grows. In office role with around 30% travel.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ONGlobal Marketing Strategy & Portfolio Leadership
  • Own the global marketing strategy for the TMTI portfolio, aligning brand, positioning, and lifecycle plans across the mitral and tricuspid franchises.
  • Translate clinical evidence, market dynamics, and the competitive landscape into differentiated value propositions and messaging.
  • Define multi-year portfolio roadmaps and indication strategy in partnership with R&D, Clinical Affairs, and Business Development.
  • Shape global pricing and value frameworks in coordination with HEOR, Market Access, and regional teams.
Product Launch & Commercialization
  • Lead global commercialization and launch excellence for new TMTI products, indications, and geographic expansions.
  • Build integrated launch plans spanning messaging, training, KOL engagement, congress strategy, digital, and field tools.
  • Partner with Regional Marketing to localize and execute while maintaining consistent global brand standards.
  • Define launch KPIs and track performance against adoption, share, and revenue targets.
Market Development & Therapy Adoption
  • Drive therapy awareness and adoption strategies to grow the addressable patient population for mitral and tricuspid intervention.
  • Develop referral pathway, screening, and patient-identification programs in partnership with field, clinical, and medical teams.
  • Identify and prioritize market access and reimbursement opportunities by geography.
  • Advance Heart Team engagement and structural heart program development across key accounts.
KOL & Physician Engagement
  • Build and sustain relationships with global key opinion leaders across interventional cardiology, cardiac surgery, and cardiac imaging.
  • Orchestrate governance boards, steering committees, and physician feedback loops to inform strategy.
  • Ensure clinical and scientific credibility across all marketing initiatives and customer-facing materials.
Market Insights & Competitive Strategy
  • Lead competitive intelligence and market analytics to anticipate competitor moves and inform positioning.
  • Translate market research, procedural data, and customer insight into actionable strategy.
  • Monitor the evolving structural heart landscape and recommend timely strategic responses.
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Alignment
  • Lead, develop, and scale a high-performing global marketing team.
  • Drive effective collaboration across R&D, Clinical Affairs, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Regional Marketing, and Commercial.
  • Establish systems to track marketing performance, adoption, and business outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, and company policies, including applicable industry codes (e.g., AdvaMed Code).
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree required (Life Sciences, Engineering, Marketing, or related field). MBA strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of medical device or medtech marketing experience, with significant time in structural heart, interventional cardiology, or comparable high-acuity therapeutic areas.
  • 5+ years of people leadership, ideally leading global or regional marketing teams.
  • Proven track record across upstream and downstream marketing, including global product launches and lifecycle management.
  • Deep understanding of transcatheter mitral and tricuspid therapies (e.g., TEER, transcatheter valve repair/replacement) and the competitive landscape.
  • Strong strategic, analytical, and commercial acumen, with the ability to translate clinical evidence into market strategy.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and executive stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience operating across global regions and within a matrixed organization.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and respond to change in a dynamic, fast-evolving environment.
  • Willingness to travel around 30%, including international and congress travel.
