Overview
2025 AAHA Practice of the Year.
Some hospitals talk about excellence. Others earn recognition for it. In 2025, Harbor Point Animal Hospital was named the AAHA Practice of the year, one of the highest honors in veterinary medicine. It's an achievement that reflects years of commitment to exceptional patient care, strong leadership, collaborative teamwork and a culture that puts people first.
Now we're looking for a Practice manager to help lead what comes next.
If you're energized by developing teams, improving operations, understanding the story behind the numbers, and building a workplace where people genuinely enjoy coming to work, we'd love to meet you.
About the Role
As Practice Manager, you'll partner closely with our Medical Director and Assistant Practice Manager to support hospital operations, team development, financial performance, and culture.
This is not a maintenance role. It's an opportunity to help shape the future of an already successful hospital.
You'll lead and develop team members, improve processes, support growth initiatives, and help ensure Harbor Point continues to deliver the exceptional experience that earned national recognition.
What You'll Be Doing

  • Managing scheduling, workflows, inventory, facilities, and daily operations
  • Monitoring key business metrics and financial performance
  • Supporting a culture of accountability, engagement, and recognition
  • Collaborating with Encore's HR, Recruiting, Finance, Marketing, and Operations teams

You Might Be a Great Fit If You
  • Have 3+ years of leadership or practice management experience
  • Enjoy developing people and building strong teams
  • Can confidently interpret a P&L and use it to make thoughtful business decisions
  • Balance accountability with empathy
  • Stay calm and solutions-focused during challenges
  • Are excited about continued leadership growth

Bonus Points For:
  • Veterinary practice experience
  • CVPM certification (or actively pursuing it)
  • Business, finance, or management experience
  • Experience with scheduling, payroll, HRIS, or practice management systems

Why Harbor Point?
We've built a hospital where great medicine and a great team culture go hand in hand.
Our doctors, technicians, and support team work together with mutual respect and a shared commitment to doing what's best for patients and clients. Questions are welcomed, ideas are encouraged, and everyone plays a role in helping the hospital continue to grow and improve.
We're proud to be:
  • 2025 AAHA Practice of the Year
  • AAHA Accredited since 2017
  • Fear Free Certified
  • Recipient of the 2023 Lake Normy Award
  • A trusted part of the Lake Norman community

Most importantly, we're a team that genuinely enjoys working together.
Benefits
  • Competitive compensation
  • Generous CE allowance
  • Encore Performance Academy leadership development
  • Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance
  • 401(k) with up to 5% company match
  • Paid parental leave and holiday pay
  • Pet benefits
  • Free virtual mental health support for household members ages 13+
