AFL provides industry-leading fiber optic products, conductor accessories and fittings, and related services across the globe. Our company was founded in 1984 with a single fiber optic cable and has grown to include every facet of the passive optical network, employing over 5,000 associates worldwide and consistently generating annual sales in excess of a billion dollars. 

In April of 2019, AFL made a major investment in ITC Service Group, a Sacramento-based company providing broadband installation, design and staffing services to the telecommunications and IT industries.

ITC Service Group was founded in 1999 and provides managed services and workforce solutions for the nationwide planning design, construction, installation and maintenance of voice, data and video networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and activate high-speed internet and voice services over copper infrastructure
  • Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of broadband lines and equipment
  • Run, terminate, and test copper cabling (inside and outside the home)
  • Install network interface devices (NIDs), modems, and related equipment
  • Diagnose service issues using testing tools and resolve connectivity problems
  • Educate customers on service usage and basic troubleshooting
  • Maintain accurate job documentation and service records
  • Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
Requirements
  • Experience in telecommunications, broadband, or copper line installation preferred
  • Strong understanding of copper wiring, DSL, or voice services (a plus, not required)
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in various weather conditions
  • Strong problem-solving and customer service skills
  • Must have own vehicle and tools required to perform installations
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
