Job description

Summary
The A-320 Ground/Simulator Instructor provides instruction utilizing classroom, flight training devices and simulators to Allegiant Air Pilots for initial, transition, upgrade, and recurrent training in accordance with the Allegiant approved training program and FAA regulations and policies.

Minimum Requirements
Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check.
Education:  High School Diploma/GED:  
Years of Experience:  Minimum one (1) year as an instructor/check pilot or as a PIC or SIC in the A-320 series

Valid/Unexpired Passport Book: Yes

Valid/Unexpired Driver's License: Yes

  Served for at least one year as an instructor/check pilot or as a PIC or SIC in an airplane of the same group.

Preferred Requirements
  ATP with a A-320 Type rating.
  Successfully complete and retain Allegiant Air's PIC Training/Qualification on the A-320 and required recurrent training and qualification.

Job Duties
  Facilitate initial, transition, upgrade and recurrent training, including A-320 systems, Allegiant Air policies and procedures, applicable FAA Regulations and Emergency training.
  Prepare students for flight evaluations by providing high quality training and effective feedback.
  Conduct training tasks including lesson planning, classroom and simulator set-up, upkeep of current aviation publications and instructional training materials.
  Maintain record of all training activities, participants and results.
  Assist department managers as required for special projects.
  Assist in course design and development.
  Work closely with the A-320 Fleet Training Captain to identify and resolve issues with training.
  Model Allegiant's customer service standards in personal actions and when providing leadership direction.
  Other duties as assigned.

Office - While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, key board, printer, and phone. May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 20 lbs. May be required to work various shifts/days in a 24-hour situation. Regular attendance is a requirement of the role. Exposure to moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones, printers, and foot traffic), temperature and light fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. Some travel may be a requirement of the role.
