Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified A320 Type-Rated Simulator Instructor to join our Part 121 airline training team in Miami, FL. The successful candidate will deliver exceptional simulator-based training to pilots, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and company standards. This role requires a strong background in simulator instruction, check airman experience, and a preference for candidates with A320 flight experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct simulator training sessions for initial, recurrent, and upgrade training on the A320 aircraft.
  • Perform check airman duties, including proficiency checks and line checks, as required.
  • Develop and update training materials to align with FAA Part 121 requirements and company policies.
  • Provide mentorship and feedback to pilots to enhance performance and safety.
  • Ensure all training activities comply with FAA regulations and company standards.
  • Collaborate with the Manager of Training to improve training programs and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate training records and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Experience:
    • 5,000 hours of airline experience.
    • A320 type rating required; A320 flight experience preferred.
    • Strong background in simulator instruction.
    • Check airman experience required.
    • Training Center Evaluator (TCE) or Aircrew Program Designee (APD) certification preferred.
  • Certifications:
    • FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.
    • Ability to hold an FAA 1st Class Medical preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong knowledge of A320 systems, procedures, and performance.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
    • Proficiency in delivering high-quality training in a simulator setting.
  • Availability:
    • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as required by training schedules.
    • Must be based in or willing to relocate to the Miami, FL area.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a TCE or APD.
  • Extensive A320 flight experience.
  • Proven track record of delivering effective simulator-based training.
