Job description

Film Production Finance Executive

As a key member of our production team, this role will be involved in all aspects of production finance from development through post production. This role will work closely with the Production, Post, and Creative teams, as well as the Corporate Finance, Accounting, and Business & Legal Affairs teams to ensure that A24 production finance procedures are adhered to, accountants are onboarded properly onto A24 systems, and both internal and external studio responsibilities are handled with care.

Initial Responsibilities:

  • Act as point person for specific productions and work closely with internal cross functional teams in the form of maintaining and sharing information and report
  • Proactively maintain and administer production finance infrastructure and systems in advance of productions starting in the form of location specific infrastructure requirements, ATL payment schedules, production cash flow exposure, etc.
  • Liaise with A24 producing partners' production finance & accounting teams as it relates to receiving reports, invoicing, cash flow, tax credits, etc.
  • Manage the accounting staffing of assigned projects during development, prep, production and post production
  • Oversee on-set accounting responsibilities such as accounts payable, payroll, journal entries, etc. for full lifecycle of projects (early prep, development, writers room, post production, and delivery)
  • Providing guidance and oversight to on-set accountants during production, as it relates to onboarding, introducing processes, and sharing accounting manuals and templates
  • Track and process any studio based development and delivery payments and fees to talent and partners
  • Oversee the accounting wrap and delivery process for production and post production
  • Manage staffing various audits including tax credits, insurance claims, union audits, and partner specific audits

Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field
  • 5 years of experience in the job offered or in a Production Finance / Production Accountant-related occupation.

Our target salary range for this role is between $146,058 to $150,000. We do not use formal job titles internally and similarly named positions may have different compensation levels. Actual starting salary within the range will depend on various considerations, including: work experience, skills, specializations, and training. This role is also eligible for an annual performance bonus, including both cash and equity components, competitive healthcare, as well as other employee benefits.
