Responsibilities:
- Job Responsibilities
- Perform removal and replacement of transmissions (automatic & manual) on domestic and import vehicles
- Diagnose transmission issues and determine proper repair or replacement solutions
- Disassemble, inspect, and reinstall transmission components as needed
- Perform vehicle repair and maintenance in accordance with shop and manufacturer standards
- Test-drive vehicles and use diagnostic tools to verify repairs and ensure proper operation
- Perform quality control inspections before returning vehicles to customers
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area, shop, and equipment
- Assist in maintaining proper shop workflow and efficiency
- Report parts shortages or inventory issues to the Center Manager
- Follow all safety procedures and ensure a safe working environment
- Keep customer vehicles clean and protected during service
- Assist in training and guiding junior technicians when needed
- Skills & Requirements
- Strong experience in transmission removal & installation (R&R)
- Knowledge of electrical diagnostics, sensors, and scan tools
- Ability to diagnose drivability and transmission-related issues accurately
- Must have a complete set of professional-grade tools
- Experience with domestic and import vehicles (early & late models)
- Minimum 5 years of experience (Master Technician level preferred)
- Valid Drivers License
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong communication, organization, and follow-up skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain a clean and professional work area at all times
