Provides overall leadership and supervision of the Production Department with guidance given by Team and Facility Leadership. The ATL will lead, mentor, and develop the Team to achieve and surpass all department goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform duties related to the daily production of baked goods (very accurate mixing, dividing, shaping, proofing, and baking) to ensure consistency in daily production.
  • Maintain quality and production standards. Ensure production schedule is followed. Ability to print formulas and batch sizes from Globalbake
  • Ensure accurate recording of mixing, shaping, and proofing/retarding temperature and time information.
  • Interview, select, train, develop, and mentor Team Members to build and sustain a high performing team and minimize turnover. Establishes and maintains a positive work environment which sustains positive Team Member morale.
  • Maintain all HACCP, FSMA  and SSOP procedures and standards
  • Achieve budgeted expense levels.
  • Maintain awareness of new products and regularly incorporate into overall product mix.
  • Manage the buying and ordering process with facility buyer. Establish and maintain mutually beneficial vendor relationships.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative and productive working relationship with store and regional leadership.
  • Follow and comply with established procedures, including health and sanitation, and adhere to safe work practices. Ensure team member compliance.
  • Operate and sanitize all equipment in a safe and proper manner.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Two years relevant experience as a Supervisor or Specialist.
  • Thorough knowledge of products, buying, pricing, merchandising, and inventory management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, strong organizational skills, excellent math skills (ability to do “on the fly math.”)
  • Follow directions and recipes.
  • Ability to taste and evaluate all products to judge quality.
  • Ability to communicate and work well with others as part of a team.
  • Patient and enjoys working with and mentoring people.
  • Take a proactive approach to problem solving, take initiative and be responsible.
  • Ability to learn proper use of all equipment used during food preparation and cleanup.
  • Available for flexible scheduling to meet the needs of the department, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required
The wage range for this position is $25.75-$45.00 Hourly, commensurate with experience. Whole Foods Market offers "Whole Benefits".
