Gaia (www.gaia.com), the world's largest subscription video-on-demand provider of transformational media, is seeking a full-time International Operations Coordinator to join its Digital Operations team in Louisville, Colorado. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, the ability to track multiple projects, and a keen eye for quality control in the localization process of international content.

Responsibilities

Localization Coordination

  • Coordinate the localization process for Spanish, French, and German content.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the full lifecycle of subtitled and dubbed media assets.
  • Prepare materials for localization, including video files, audio stems, and caption files.
  • Utilize Airtable to manage subtitle and dubbing records, ensuring efficient asset tracking.
  • Facilitate the distribution of assets to vendors, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Initiate AI-generated metadata translations and ensure readiness for quality control processes.
  • Track deliverables closely to meet deadlines and communicate any delays effectively.
  • Assist in launching additional languages as needed.

Quality Control & Asset Management

  • Manage the intake process for scripts, audio, and subtitles, ensuring all materials meet internal quality control (QC) standards.
  • Oversee the QC process, addressing file failures, revisions, and approvals with vendors and internal teams.
  • Ensure timely creation and translation of cue sheets before layback.
  • Coordinate layback and animation requests with Post-Production and Creative Services, aligning with publishing schedules.
  • Verify that final asset deliverables adhere to required specifications and prepare them for archiving in the Digital Asset Management (DAM) system.
  • Maintain meticulous tracking of all statuses, deadlines, and publish dates.
  • Support closed captioning operations as needed.

Qualifications

  • Exceptional attention to detail with a strong commitment to process and accuracy.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Trustworthy, team-oriented, and eager to learn in a fast-moving environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Understanding of media formats and metadata is a plus.
  • Awareness of cultural nuances and sensitivities.
  • US citizenship or US residency with an existing work permit is required

  • Must be available to work on our campus in Louisville, CO. This is not a remote role.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Affinity for Gaia's content is required; existing Gaia subscribers preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in media.
  • Prior localization experience preferred.
  • Experience with Agile-based project management (Scrum/Kanban) is a plus.
  • Experience with Airtable or similar relational databases is a plus.
  • Full fluency in English is required; fluency in French, German, or Spanish is preferred.
