Job description


GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB: Responsibilities include, but not limited to, general ledger accountability, finance reporting, budgeting, forecasting and other projects as assigned. To perform technical accounting functions involving preparation of financial and accounting schedules, monthly/quarterly P&L analysis and management reporting.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Sedentary employment. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work entails sitting for the majority of the day.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • G&A (General & Administrative) cost center analysis, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and reporting to Department Managers.
  • Month-end activities, journal entries, GL & account reconciliation, and accruals.
  • Account analysis to review monthly variances between actual and budgeted expenses and to ensure expenses are posted to correct accounts.
  • Preparation of supporting schedules and data analysis.
  • Responsible for debt, interest, & other accounts assigned.
  • Experience in entertainment, restaurant and inventory is a plus.
  • Support the external audit.
  • A/R - Issue customer statements, apply payments and issue refunds.
  • Process property tax returns.
  • File business licenses as necessary.
  • Enter completed wire transfers in accounting system.
  • Process commission payments.
  • Identify and implement improvements to streamline work and enhance controls.
  • Analyze costs, cost of goods sold, etc.
  • Analyze margin and profitability along with key performance indicators.
  • Manage Multi-Unit
  • Strong ability to analyze data and ability to work with other departments within the company to ensure correct reporting.
  • Experience with implementation a big plus.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in accounting, finance, business administration or related field
  • 5+ Years of experience as a Sr. Accountant/Financial Analyst
  • QuickBooks

  • Excel (Advanced)
  • 5+ years of working knowledge with GAAP
