Position Title: Accounting Clerk

Location: Lake Forest, CA – On-Site

Assignment Type: Temporary, approximately 60–90 days with potential to extend

Compensation: $25–$30/hour

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

Job Description

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support day-to-day accounting operations for a growing organization. This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on transactional accounting experience who is comfortable working independently in a smaller, fast-paced environment.

The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing routine accounting transactions, and supporting the accounting team with daily administrative and month-end activities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic accounting data entry and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Process invoices, receipts, expense documentation, and other accounting paperwork.
  • Assist with bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • Review and process employee expense reports.
  • Organize and maintain accounting records and supporting documentation.
  • Provide light month-end accounting support related to transactional activities.
  • Assist with general accounting and administrative tasks as needed.
  • Ensure routine accounting activities are completed accurately and on time.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a transactional accounting or accounting clerk role.
  • Experience with QuickBooks required.
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Comfortable working with paper-based and manual processes.
  • Ability to manage routine tasks consistently and independently.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
