Job description

Role: Senior Deployment Strategists
Location: New York, NY
Salary: $ 200000.00 USD - 240000.00 USD

Our client, a healthcare AI fintech startup, is seeking Senior Deployment Strategists to own large-scale AI platform deployments for health system clients. In this role, you'll lead end-to-end delivery for some of the largest provider organizations in the country, manage cross-functional pods, and build direct relationships with C-suite executives to drive measurable margin improvements.
What You'll Be Doing
  • Owning the full implementation lifecycle for large strategic health system accounts — from scoping and discovery through go-live and value realization
  • Leading a pod of 2–3 junior Deployment Strategists and forward-deployed engineers, setting priorities and maintaining delivery momentum
  • Managing C-suite relationships (primarily CFOs) at multi-billion-dollar health systems, including facilitating executive business reviews and steering committees
  • Driving novel, consultative problem-solving — discovery, solutioning, and operational change management for customers deploying AI for the first time
  • Codifying deployment patterns into repeatable playbooks and feeding implementation learnings back into the product roadmap
Key Requirements
  • 6+ years of experience, with meaningful time in healthcare consulting or AI/tech delivery to health systems (provider side specifically)
  • Proven executive presence and experience independently managing C-suite/VP-level client relationships — specifically CFO, CIO, or VP Ops at large organizations (hard requirement)
  • Hands-on experience managing technical implementations (not purely strategy advisory), ideally involving AI or software delivery
  • Demonstrated, sustained commitment to the healthcare provider space, reflected in a clear career pattern
  • People management experience, with the ability to lead cross-functional delivery teams in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
  • Direct experience working with hospitals or health systems (not pharma/life sciences) — whether through consulting or at a tech company selling to health systems (e.g., Abridge, Cedar, OpenEvidence, Ambience Healthcare, Notable Health)
Nice to Have
  • Experience at a healthcare-focused consulting firm (e.g., Accenture, Huron, Chartis, Deloitte, Cognizant, or McKinsey/BCG with a healthcare provider focus) at the Engagement Manager level or equivalent
  • Experience at an early-stage AI/SaaS company selling to health systems, demonstrating startup ownership and comfort with ambiguity (ideally: a consulting background followed by AI delivery work at a health-tech startup)
  • A master's degree in healthcare administration, health policy, MPH, or a healthcare-focused MBA (e.g., Wharton HCM) — signaling long-term commitment to the healthcare space
  • Healthcare finance domain knowledge — understanding of margin improvement, revenue cycle, workforce analytics, or financial operations at health systems
  • Executive presence sufficient to lead steering committees with CFOs of $1B+ health systems
