Job description

InGenesis is currently seeking a Senior Clinical Advisor to work with our client in Bethesda, MD. In this role, you will be providing advanced clinical, research, and healthcare advisory support to assist the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) in achieving its operational and research objectives. This position serves as a key clinical resource, supporting patient care, clinical research activities, healthcare communications, education, and program development while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, investigators, and healthcare professionals.

This is a highly specialized role that combines direct patient interaction, clinical research support, healthcare consultation, training, and scientific advisory responsibilities.

Education, Certification and Licensure Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Nursing Education or a related discipline
  • Current Nurse Practitioner License
  • ANCC Certification

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant professional experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Strong knowledge of clinical research processes and regulatory requirements
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary healthcare and research environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical expertise and recommendations to support healthcare initiatives, clinical operations, and research programs.
  • Conduct patient assessments, physical examinations, medical history reviews, and clinical evaluations; monitor patient conditions and review laboratory results.
  • Support clinical research activities, including participant recruitment, study enrollment, protocol compliance, data collection, and follow-up coordination.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, investigators, scientists, and healthcare professionals to advance clinical and research objectives.
  • Coordinate and support clinical advisory activities, including assessing site readiness and addressing clinical and safety concerns.
  • Develop educational materials, presentations, manuscripts, and curriculum content related to clinical and healthcare topics.
  • Train and mentor staff, fellows, and junior advisors on clinical procedures, interviewing techniques, and research protocols.
  • Represent programs at meetings, conferences, and stakeholder engagements while fostering collaboration with healthcare, academic, and research communities.
