Job description

Platinum Dining Group is a full-service hospitality group based in northern Delaware. Six restaurants, an "any event" catering company, and a fine-goods retail market all reside under the PDG umbrella. We are a company that believes in the fundamental truth that no task is too great and no detail too small. We strive, one guest at a time, to offer a complete and rewarding hospitality experience.

Our service staff at Platinum Dining Group is engaging and knowledgeable without being obtrusive. A Busser will work well in a fast-paced environment and keep up with things during our busiest times of the day. The Busser will be responsible for clearing tables as soon as customers leave the restaurant and works closely with Dishwashers to make sure that there are always clean plates and flatware for each table. A strong work ethic and great sense of team is appreciated.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with waitstaff to ensure that tables are cleared, cleaned, and reset for the next party

  • Arrange tables for large parties and prepare the private room for scheduled gatherings

  • Keep an eye on tables and alert servers if guests need drink refills or additional requests

  • Maintains an inventory of polished flatware, glassware, & plateware during service periods

  • Support service team as requested and may perform cleaning tasks as needed

  • Maintain a clean and trash free area outside of restaurant and parking area

  • Maintain established safety and sanitation procedures

  • Enjoys providing great hospitality

Qualifications:

  • Excellent Emotional Self Awareness under pressure while maintaining a respectful, warm presence

  • Positive attitude and excellent communication skills

  • Must possess excellent customer service skills

  • Ability to multitask and take direction in high volume situations

  • Ability to work nights, weekend, and holidays

  • Experience working as a busser in a busy restaurant environment is a plus

Other:

  • Must be able to lift and transport 40-pound boxes

  • Frequently reach, lift, stoop, bend, sweep, and wipe

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time, 8-hour shifts

  • Must have good physical condition and stamina

  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends

  • Additional duties may be assigned as deemed necessary
