Job description

Job Summary: 
Join our hospitality team as a Bellman/Shuttle Driver where no two days are the same. If you enjoy staying active, meeting new people, and helping guests have a great experience, this is a great opportunity to grow in the hotel industry. Everyday duties include a variety of tasks including but not limited to: shuttle driving, event area set up and tear down, assistance to guests as needed.
 
Schedule:
Full-time afternoon shifts (8–10 hours) on weekdays with some flexibility based on business needs.

Responsibilities 
  • Drive to destination(s) and return to the hotel promptly.
  • Provide all duties to maintain the shuttle vehicles such as checking and maintain fluid levels, wash and clean interior of van, as needed.  
  • Communicate to supervisor any mechanical malfunctions of the van.  
  • Assist at front and with general cleaning while waiting for scheduled van shuttles.  
  • Facilitate prompt guest check-out procedures by assisting guests with luggage as needed. 
  • Set up and tear down of all function room space according to Banquet Event Order (BEO) details and company banquet standards.
  • Display proper professional attitude, demeanor and cooperation toward guests, peers and management.
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize tasks to provide the utmost service to guests.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.  
  • Experience: Customer service experience preferred.
  • Licenses or Certificates: State requirements
  • Neat and clean in appearance and in uniform at all times.
  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Maintain a Class C (or state requirement) valid driver’s license and a good driving record as outlined by our motor vehicle insurance company.  Any violations received while not on duty may affect your insurability and employment at the hotel. 
  • Possess interpersonal skills; should be friendly and outgoing.
  • Possess good communication skills. Speak, write, and understand English.
  • Exercise good judgment
  • Ability to operate van safely and legally. 
  • Sit and drive a van for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
  • Must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance.
