Job description

Salary: Prevailing Wage

A&A Safety, Inc. is seeking a Traffic Control and Safety Technician to support a variety of roadway and highway operations. This hands-on position assists with traffic control, pavement marking, and general roadway work while helping maintain safe and compliant work zones. This position may work across multiple crews and plays a key role in protecting the traveling public and project teams.

Our offerings include traffic control, pavement marking, construction and roadway signage, traffic control devices, personal protective equipment, and graphic design services.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist with traffic control operations, including placing, maintaining, and removing traffic control devices such as cones, barrels, signs, and barricades.
  • Support pavement marking and line striping crews, including handwork and roadway preparation.
  • Perform general labor duties on roadway and highway projects as assigned.
  • Prepare, load, and unload trucks, materials, and equipment.
  • Drive company vehicles to, from, and on active job sites.
  • Perform flagging duties and assist with directing traffic as needed.
  • Place and remove pavement markers and assist with roadway striping operations.
  • Work as part of various crews, including traffic control, line striping, and general labor, based on project needs.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned based on project needs.


Qualifications:

  • Valid drivers license (CDL a plus, but not required)
  • Membership in Laborers union (may join after being hired)
  • ATSSA certification(s) a plus but not required
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in varying weather conditions.


Schedule & Availability Requirements:

This role requires schedule flexibility, including days, nights, weekends, overtime, and periodic travel to support project demands.
