Site Supervisor - Banking Industry Construction - Base Salary to 95k/year - Arlington Heights, IL

  • Our client, an established commercial general contractor specializing in construction for banks and financial institutions, is seeking a Site Supervisor to oversee commercial construction projects based in Arlington Heights, IL. Projects include tenant improvements, commercial buildouts, renovations, and ground-up construction.
  • This position will supervise subcontractors and self-performing crews while coordinating field activities, schedules, materials, safety, and project requirements. Candidates must have commercial carpentry, ground-up commercial construction, and construction supervision experience. This is a traveling construction position requiring out-of-state travel as project needs dictate, with per diem and eligible travel expenses covered.

Responsibilities:

  • Track project workflow and ensure subcontractors and field crews are prepared to perform scheduled work
  • Coordinate delivery of construction materials, equipment, and jobsite resources
  • Supervise subcontractors and self-performing construction crews
  • Monitor trade staffing and labor requirements needed to maintain construction schedules
  • Coordinate field activities with Project Managers, Crew Leads, Team Leads, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders
  • Communicate with commercial clients and project stakeholders throughout construction
  • Coordinate construction activities in occupied and operating commercial spaces while maintaining project requirements and schedules
  • Work nonstandard shifts based on project requirements, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Document construction progress, jobsite activity, and project information in the company database
  • Monitor compliance with jobsite and construction safety requirements
  • Travel to project sites as required, including out-of-state assignments

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years’ experience in commercial carpentry required
  • Ground-up commercial construction experience required
  • Construction supervision experience required, including supervision or coordination of subcontractors, trades, or construction crews
  • Experience reading, analyzing, and interpreting construction plans, drawings, and specifications required
  • Experience coordinating with Project Managers, Crew Leads, subcontractors, and construction trades required
  • Client-facing commercial construction experience required
  • Ability to work nonstandard hours as needed, including nights, weekends, and bank holidays
  • Ability to travel as needed, including out of state
  • Ability to report to the Arlington Heights office and surrounding project sites as required
  • Ability to meet company background and driving record requirements in accordance with applicable laws
  • Basic computer and tablet proficiency

Compensation:

  • Base salary in the 80 - 95k/year range
