Technical Sales Representative - HVAC Equipment Rental - Base Salary to 90k/year - Cincinnati, OH

  • Our client is a growing industrial equipment rental organization seeking a Technical Sales Representative to drive new business development throughout the Cincinnati market. This role is focused on outside sales, territory expansion, and developing relationships with mechanical contractors, industrial customers, and commercial clients requiring HVAC and power equipment solutions.
  • The Technical Sales Representative will manage a designated territory, identify new opportunities through strategic prospecting, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver customized equipment rental solutions. This is a highly visible, hunter-focused sales role with strong long-term growth potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow an assigned territory with a primary focus on new business development and account acquisition.
  • Conduct in-person and virtual sales meetings, presentations, and jobsite visits with prospective and existing customers.
  • Develop relationships with mechanical contractors, industrial clients, commercial facilities, and other target accounts.
  • Identify and pursue new revenue opportunities through cold calling, networking, referrals, and strategic prospecting.
  • Present customized HVAC and equipment rental solutions based on customer operational needs.
  • Maintain consistent customer follow-up and account management activities to support long-term business growth.
  • Coordinate with internal operations and service teams to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline activity, territory planning, and customer account documentation.
  • Stay current on HVAC rental equipment offerings, industry trends, and company training initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of successful B2B outside sales experience with a documented track record of business development and revenue generation.
  • Experience selling to mechanical contractors, commercial contractors, industrial accounts, facilities, or construction-related customers.
  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory up to 90% of the time.
  • Experience developing new business through prospecting, relationship building, and territory management.
  • Experience conducting in-person customer meetings, presentations, and account development activities.

Compensation:

  • Base salary in the 80k – 90k/year range plus uncapped commission potential.
