About the Role
We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, efficient, friendly individual looking for a diverse medical and surgical caseload. The ideal veterinarian will provide medical, surgical, and preventive care to small animal patients while maintaining accurate medical records and communicating effectively with clients. This position requires working collaboratively with other veterinarians and support staff to ensure efficient, compassionate patient care. A rotating half-day Saturday schedule is included, and there are no after-hours emergency duties.

Spring Hill is a busy three doctor, small animal practice in Spring Hill, KS. Our state-of-the-art facility offers in-house blood machine, digital radiography, ultrasound, TonoVet, and Avimark medical software. We have a wonderful team and focus on quality medicine, and building relationships with our clients. We believe we should always offer the highest quality care.

Responsibilities
  • Examine animals to assess their health and diagnose problems
  • Treat and dress wounds
  • Perform surgery on animals
  • Test for and vaccinate against diseases
  • Operate medical equipment, such as x-ray machines
  • Advise animal owners about general care, medical conditions, and treatments
  • Prescribe medication
  • Work closely in collaboration with team members to provide high quality care

Qualifications
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required
  • Licensure in the state/s candidate will be working
  • Ability to show compassion to both pets and their owners
  • Outstanding dexterity in handling animals while performing precise tasks
  • Ability to react quickly and make decisions under pressure about the wellbeing of an animal
  • Strong fondness and understanding of animals
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of animal behavior
  • Ability to use medical technologies during diagnosis, research and surgery of animals
