CareVet of Shenandoah, a CareVet partner, is seeking an experienced Veterinarian to lead our practice as Medical Director! Our Medical Directors spend 90+% of their time practicing medicine! This position offers a six-figure salary plus production, clinical support, work/life balance, and more!
Job Summary:
The Medical Director is responsible for providing medical leadership for the hospital, managing associate veterinarians, and assuring regulatory compliance relating to the practice of veterinary medicine. The Medical Director is also responsible for creating an environment of teamwork in which quality medicine and exceptional client service are delivered.
In partnership with the Hospital Manager, the Medical Director is responsible for the financial performance and general operations of the hospital under the guidance of CareVet leadership. In addition, the Hospital Manager and Medical Director are responsible for cultivating a supportive and collaborative team environment.
About the Hospital:
Shenandoah Animal Hospital was founded in 1996 and has been proudly serving the Shenandoah, Iowa community ever since. Their strong team is known for providing personalized, high-quality veterinary care for every pet and welcoming the community like family. Living in Shenandoah, IA has an idyllic small town feel with just 5,000 residents. Locals enjoy a low cost of living, affordable home prices, an incredible sense of community and a gorgeous golf club! Shenandoah is an easy two hour drive to either Kansas City, MO or Des Moines, IA.
