REQUIRED CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES:None required

RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT: Ohio resident preferred

  • Will consider applicants from a surrounding state to Ohio within one hundred miles from the Ohio border.

  • Border states include Michigan, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Kentucky, and Indiana.

  • Applicants must be able to meet travel requirements and be willing and able to obtain Ohio Certification.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES:This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.

The At-Risk Services 504 Coordinator role is to work with staff to improve educational outcomes for all students through high-quality interventions that are matched to students' academic, social-emotional, and behavior needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop, revise, and format all paperwork to service the 504 plans at OHVA

  • Maintain Section 504/ADA Compliancy

  • Guides 504 referral, evaluation, and service delivery process

  • Develop, write, and implement accommodations of a 504 plan(s)

  • Schedule yearly reviews on all 504 plans

  • Maintain the 504 data base, all student files (forms, plans, tracking, testing accommodations)

  • Maintain open communication with allfamilies'w/questions about existing or future 504 plans

  • Collect the necessary information that qualifies a student for a504-accommodationplan

  • Provide training/guidelines about procedures and eligibility requirements for 504 plans to staff.

  • Ensure 504 plan accommodations are in place in educational and testing setting

  • Receive and review a copy of all 504 plans from other schools for new students

  • Coordinate school efforts to comply with Section 504 regulations including training of staff

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in health, Education, or Social ServicesAND

  • 3 or more years of experience in the area of health or education

  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.); Web proficiency

  • The ability to clear required background check

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Organizational skills, multi-tasking abilities

  • Ability to work without direct supervision

  • Flexible schedule; Ability to travel up to 10%

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
