Summer Food & Nutrition Team Member (4 positions)
Location: Middle School Kitchen and SFSP Food Distribution Site
Monday 7:00 am - 12:30 pm
Tuesday 8:30 am - 2:00 pm
5 hours each day = 10 hours a week for 10 weeks
1/2 hour unpaid lunch break each day
First week June 23 - 23, 2026
Last Week August 24-25, 2026
$25.00 an hour
Tasks include but are not limited to:
  • Required program overview and training prior to the program start date
  • Making, labeling, and bagging sandwiches
  • Assembling boxes (~200 a week)
  • Efficiently and accurately packing food into boxes/bags (~200 a week)
  • Moving bags and cases of food for storage
  • Organizing food for best storage and packing
  • Loading filled food bags/boxes into and out of vans (some being around 50 pounds)
  • Moving coolers of food items (~200 a week of boxes, and a gallon of milk per box)
  • Handing food bags to patrons during pickup service on Tuesdays
  • Documenting production records of foods planned, packed, and received
  • Distributing food outside for 1.5 hours
  • Driving a vehicle from the school to the pick up location site (close location).

This job requires time in a kitchen and outdoors, and is physically involved as we move bags/boxes of 5 breakfasts and 5 lunches each week for approximately 200-250 children.
Per food safety regulations, employees must wear non-slip, close-toed footwear in the kitchen as well as a hair covering when preparing foods (hair net or hat).
