ECE Subhub is hiring a full-time Family Service Worker to support Bussey Early Childhood Center with Southfield Public Schools. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to connect families with the services and support they need to thrive.

We also believe our staff should feel supported, prepared, and valued in the work they do. Our team provides training, guidance, and ongoing support so you can feel confident in your role.

As a Family Service Worker, you will work alongside the classroom and program team to support enrollment, family engagement, and community connections. Responsibilities may include recruiting eligible children and families to maintain full enrollment, providing family support and referrals through regular contact including home visits, center visits, phone calls, and letters, working with the team to provide support services and develop parent activities, building relationships with community agencies and organizations that serve children and families, participating in community service organizational meetings, and organizing meetings, workshops, and trainings for parents.

This position is a good fit for someone who is organized, tech savvy, and genuinely enjoys building relationships with families, colleagues, and community partners.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, or Family Life Management
  • Working knowledge of Head Start practices, guidelines, and procedures

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid driver's license and Michigan No-Fault insurance in accordance with statutory requirements
