Molding Operator Job Summary

We are seeking a reliableMolding Operatorto support the manufacturing, packaging, and quality monitoring of plastic parts and assemblies. This role works closely with shift leaders, mold technicians, and quality staff to ensure safe, efficient, and accurate production.

Molding Operator Key Responsibilities

Production & Communication

  • Check in with shift leader or mold technician to confirm daily assignments
  • Communicate with previous shift operator to understand job status and issues
  • Ask questions and request assistance when needed to ensure proper operation

Machine, Tools & Documentation

  • Review job paperwork and verify accuracy before starting production
  • Complete required documentation (shift reports, route sheets, etc.)
  • Perform secondary operations according to work instructions
  • Inspect parts to ensure they meet quality standards
  • Gather and maintain necessary supplies at the workstation
  • Report issues with parts, instructions, packaging, or equipment to appropriate staff

Workplace & Team Support

  • Assist in training new operators as needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation
  • Complete paperwork and clean up area at the end of each shift
  • Follow Quality Management System requirements
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Molding Operator Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • 1–3 months of manufacturing or related experience preferred (training provided)
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

  • Basic written communication skills for reports and documentation
