Job Description:
Due to increasing business activity and to further build upon our continued success, Belle Aire Creations needs a strong leader for the ‘Third Shift’. This position is essential to the direction existing production compounding, cleaner/packer, Quality, Inventory and Sample Compounding teams.
The third shift’s primary goal is to support Overflow workload from the first and second shift teams proactively providing an advantage to stay ahead of demand and lead times. To do so, the Third Shift Lead must follow current procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s), package completed batches and communicate their progress with management. You will support the fragrance manufacturing process alongside Production Staff, Purchasing, Logistics, Customer Service, and Planning staff. The production manager reports to the Third Shift Operations Manager.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide creative and innovative leadership support to the manager for production, sample, quality, inventory, filling and packing/cleaning .
  • Support production and sample compounding schedules to ensure accurate transactions are completed.
  • Account for compounding priority and specialty batches on daily basis and in the order specified by operations.
  • Assist team members to perform cycle counts and inventory spot checks.
    • Validate accuracy of counts prior to submission
  • Validate accuracy of Raw Material and Key Sheets prior to submission
    • Shift Manager should double check the validity of missing inventory
  • Assist with implementation of safe work practices.
  • Validate sub sheet accuracy
    • Broken down correctly including item numbers, descriptions, quantities
  • Validate total compounding accuracy
    • Verify completions, what was done, and that list matches finished work
  • Adhere to Belle Aire Creations PTO policy
    • Specifically related to unscheduled absences
    • Reporting

Requirements
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associates or Bachelors’ degree preferred.
  • 2 years relevant experience in production control and production planning in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent oral and written proficiency in the English language.
  • Production/Planning skills: Knowledge of Good manufacturing processes (GMP’s).
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Deadline oriented.
  • IT skills - Proficiency in using common PC applications
  • Excellent ability to work with others.
  • Cognitive (Reasoning):
    • Apply principles of rational systems to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
    • Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, visual, or schedule form.
  • Communication:
    • Vocalize and explain detailed data and problem-solve, both in-person and by telephone Must have good communication skills (both verbal and written)
    • Compose routine correspondence on own initiative
    • Make comprehensive notes in English
    • May involve a large volume of such composition.
    • Must have ability to work well under pressure
  • Physical Capabilities
    • Strength (lifting, dexterity, repetitive motion):
      • Must be able to lift 30-lbs onto waist high shelves
      • Must be able to lift and carry a min of 25lbs.
    • Movement: Employee will frequently use fingers, walk and distinguish basic colors. Employee will continuously use both hands, sit for extended periods of time, and use rapid or well-developed coordination simultaneously.
    • Hearing: Must be able to hear and understand work direction in a loud, distracting environment
    • Vision: Must be able to judge distance, identify details, and view computer screen regularly
