Curries, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is hiring a Door Support Operations Manager to lead daily Door Support operations, including Door Parts, Door Paint, and Punch & Wash within our manufacturing operation located in Mason City, Iowa on our 3rd Shift (Hours are 10:00 pm to 7:00 am). This role plays a key part in ensuring efficient material flow, smooth production operations, and on-time delivery of high-quality products.

What would you do as our Door Support Operations Manager?

You will manage daily support operations by assigning resources, supporting manufacturing teams, and removing barriers to performance. You will be a visible leader on the shop floor, promoting safety, engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement.

You would also:

  • Promote a safety-first culture, including stopping work when unsafe conditions or quality concerns are identified.
  • Lead participation in daily start-up meetings, safety talks, and operational priorities.
  • Drive engagement through the CHIP Program, PEER Program, and GEMBA communication boards.
  • Maintain a consistent shop floor presence to support employees and operations.
  • Plan and adjust manpower assignments to meet production schedules and labor goals.
  • Schedule vacations and holidays in alignment with operational needs and manage timekeeping documentation.
  • Train, onboard, coach, and motivate employees to drive engagement and performance.
  • Provide performance feedback, recognition, and corrective action in line with company policy.
  • Identify and help implement process improvements impacting safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Support departmental and company-wide goals through tracking and reporting as needed.
  • Monitor material inventory levels within assigned areas.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Perform special assignments and other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain adherence to all corporate Environmental Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.

The Skills and Experience You Need:

  • Post-high school education preferred
  • Supervisory or lead experience in a manufacturing or operations environment preferred
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced production environment
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Flexibility to work hours as required by operational needs
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
