Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of equipment, machinery, and facility systems. This role involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and executing repairs to minimize downtime and maintain productivity. The technician will work with a variety of tools and technologies to address mechanical, electrical, and plumbing concerns, and will collaborate with other team members to support overall facility operations.

Job Responsibilities

   Perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment and systems
   Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical 
   Respond promptly to maintenance request and emergencies
   Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs
   Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry regulations
   Assist in the installation of new equipment and systems as needed
   Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services
   Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
   Another job duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications
   High School Diploma or equivalent 
   1 year of maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
   1 year experience using general hand tools
   Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals

Preferred Qualifications:
   At least 1 year of previous machinist experience
   Experience with measuring tools (micrometers, dial calibers)
   Knowledge of electrical wiring, motors, pumps and HVAC systems
   Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
   Attention to detail and ability to work independently
   Ability to follow safety regulations and procedures

Physical Requirements:
   Standing and walking at least 7hrs/day
   Ability to carry and lift weight up to 25lbs
   Bending, squatting, reaching, pushing, and pulling required (At least 2hrs/day)
   Use of hands for fine dexterity, light and strong grasping (At least 7hrs/day)
