The Overnight Grocery Stocker is what we call "a warrior on the floor!" Things look excellent, staff is happy and the department looks as awesome as it does during the day. Grocery shelves will be stocked, faced, fronted, cleaned and rotated by a self-starter who notices what needs to be done. At the same time, this individual is a coachable team player, who completes tasks set up by her/his manager. When something is out of place (shelf tags missing, shelves dirty or sticky, back room needing a clean-up for example) an excellent Grocery Stocker will tell the Manager and be on top of fixing the problem, if possible. It's important in a fast-moving department like Grocery for the team to feel that all members are putting in their best; excellent Overnight Stockers pay attention to the mood of the team and strive for cooperation, an upbeat attitude, getting to work on time, and putting a full, energized shift.
