Job description

Do you thrive when the heat is on? Whether you've mastered the family BBQ, perfected the art of crispy bacon, or turned a chaotic group project into a smooth operation, you've always been the one who can keep cool while things get hot.
Now, imagine putting those skills to work where the stakes are golden, crispy, and downright delicious. At Dieffenbach's, we're not just making chips-we're crafting moments of crunchy perfection. And we need someone like you to lead the way.
We're on the hunt for a Lead Operator-a natural leader who can keep production sizzling, guide a team with purpose, and make sure every chip that leaves our kettles is worthy of snack-time glory.
Why You'll Love This Role
You'll be at the heart of the action, leading a team, ensuring smooth operations, and-most importantly-turning humble potatoes into legendary chips. If you like to move fast, work smart, and get a little oily along the way, this is the place for you.
About You

  • You know when a chip is just right-not too light, not too dark, perfectly golden.
  • You lead by doing, not just directing. Your team trusts you because you've earned it.
  • Fast-paced environments don't scare you-they energize you.
  • Safety and quality are your top priorities. You care about your team and the product.
  • You're not afraid to roll up your sleeves, get a little messy, and make it happen.
  • You believe teamwork, communication, and a clean workspace are the secret ingredients to success.
What You'll Do
  • Oversee the entire chip-frying process so every batch is a masterpiece.
  • Mentor and support your team of Kettle Operators-because great leaders build great teams.
  • Safely start up and shut down kettles like a pro.
  • Monitor fryer oil levels (because no one likes a soggy chip).
  • Set up and switch out slicer heads to keep production flowing.
  • Work closely with prep and packing teams to keep the operation running smoothly.
  • Maintain strict quality and food safety standards from raw potato to bagged perfection.
  • Keep accurate logs and records-you know, the important stuff.
  • Spot issues before they become problems and help solve them fast.
  • Operate forklifts and other equipment like a production rockstar.
  • Keep the kettle room clean, organized, and ready for action.
  • Follow company policies, GMPs, and fire safety protocols-because safety comes first.
  • Jump in wherever needed. Around here, teamwork makes the dream work.
What You Bring to the Table
  • Previous experience in food production, frying, or supervising a team? Major plus!
  • Comfort working in a hot, fast-paced, and hands-on environment.
  • Knowledge of GMPs, safety practices, and food handling (or a willingness to learn).
  • Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs and stay on your feet for your entire shift.
  • Great communication skills and a team-first mindset.

Ready to Make Snack History?
If you've got the drive, the leadership skills, and a love for perfectly fried chips, this is your chance to turn up the heat-literally. Come join our team, and let's create something crispy, crunchy, and unforgettable together.
Pay rate: $23/hour. Pay includes base rate of $22/hr. + $1.00 Shift Differential
Monday-Friday 10:50pm-7:00am
