Role: Warehouse / 3PL Director

Employment Type: Full-Time

Location: 6645 Caballero BLVD, Buena Park, CA 90620

Schedule: On-site M-F 9 to 6 PST

Compensation Structure: $120,000 to $140,000 + Annual Bonus Eligible

About the Role

The Warehouse / 3PL Director will lead warehouse and third-party logistics operations. This role is responsible for optimizing inventory management, streamlining logistics, and improving operational efficiency across all warehouse and 3PL functions. The director will oversee day-to-day warehouse activities, partner with logistics providers, and ensure seamless product fulfillment to customers and retail partners.

Essential Functions

  • Oversee all warehouse operations, including inventory control, shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment.

  • Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

  • Develop and implement strategies for process improvement and operational excellence within warehouse and logistics functions.

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards across all warehouse activities.

  • Lead and develop warehouse staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Direct day-to-day operations of warehouse and 3PL activities to achieve organizational goals.

  • Monitor inventory levels and accuracy; oversee regular cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation processes.

  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational effectiveness.

  • Collaborate with internal teams (such as sales, procurement, and customer service) to align supply chain activities with business demands.

  • Negotiate contracts, rates, and service levels with logistics and transportation partners.

  • Identify and drive cost-saving initiatives across warehousing and logistics operations.

  • Ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of orders for both direct-to-consumer and retail channels.

  • Lead the implementation of new warehouse technologies and processes.

  • Manage budgets and report on operational costs and performance metrics.

  • Oversee maintenance and organization of warehouse facilities and equipment.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business, or related field.

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in warehouse and logistics management.

  • Proven leadership experience managing warehouse teams and 3PL partners.

  • Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and best practices.

  • Experience developing and managing operational budgets.

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to drive process improvements.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and track KPIs for logistics and warehouse performance.

  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work onsite at the designated warehouse location.

Preferred Experience & Skills

  • Experience in the health and wellness or consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry.

  • Familiarity with ERP and WMS platforms (e.g., SAP, NetSuite).

  • Lean or Six Sigma certification.

  • Experience with both domestic and international logistics.

  • MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field.
