They ensure smooth and accurate electronic communication of documents like shipping notices, invoices, and order confirmations. Their role involves setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting EDI systems, as well as mapping and translating data formats to ensure compatibility between different organizations’ systems.

Effective communication, strong problem-solving skills, and familiarity with multiple EDI platforms are essential to ensure seamless integration and maintain smooth supply chain operations.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a 3PL EDI specialist, and why are they important?

To thrive as a 3PL EDI Specialist, you need a solid understanding of electronic data interchange (EDI) standards, supply chain processes, and logistics operations, usually supported by relevant education or experience in logistics or IT. Familiarity with EDI translation software, ERP systems, and knowledge of ANSI X12 or EDIFACT standards are typically required, along with certifications like EDI Professional or related IT credentials. Job description

Senior IT Program Manager, Enterprise Applications

Our client is seeking a Senior IT Program Manager to lead complex technology initiatives across a portfolio of business-critical enterprise applications. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity based in City of Industry, CA, with a hybrid and on-site work environment. You'll oversee cross-functional programs involving enterprise systems, customer integrations, and operational technology while coordinating delivery across internal teams, business stakeholders, and external partners.

You'll serve as a key connection point between technical teams, business stakeholders, external vendors, customers, and executive leadership. • Experience managing EDI trading-partner onboarding and integrations
  • Understanding of common EDI transactions and workflows within logistics or supply chain environments
  • Experience supporting customer-specific labeling, compliance, or systems requirements
  • Strong customer-facing implementation experience with ownership of requirements, expectations, timelines, and delivery
  • Experience coordinating across technical teams, business stakeholders, customers, and third-party vendors
  • Strong requirements-gathering and documentation skills
  • Experience prioritizing projects and sequencing work across multiple teams and initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to independently drive projects from intake through completion
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with customers and executive leadership
  • Ability to translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders without needing to be the hands-on engineer
  • Comfortable operating autonomously as a senior individual contributor
  • Familiarity with modern AI productivity tools and experience incorporating them into day-to-day workflows
  • Must be based in Southern California and able to work on-site and hybrid in City of Industry, CA

Desired Skills & Experience
  • Experience with modern enterprise warehouse management systems
  • ERP implementation or migration experience
  • Experience creating standardized customer onboarding or implementation processes
  • Background in management, technology, or supply-chain consulting
  • Experience within logistics, warehousing, distribution, or supply-chain organizations
  • Experience working within a fast-moving or rapidly evolving organization
  • Experience establishing UAT, change-management, release, or production governance processes
  • Experience coordinating third-party technology vendors, project milestones, and deliverables
