Job Summary:
EDI Staffing is an EDI Specialists Company seeking a contract EDI Analyst / Developer to support their EDI environment, specifically in transitioning from Axway B2Bi to Boomi. The role involves end-to-end trading partner setup, EDI map development, and troubleshooting, requiring hands-on experience with EDI mapping and integration processes.
Responsibilities:
• Review existing EDI maps, trading partner setups, document flows, and transformation processes in Axway B2Bi.
• Recreate, modify, and test EDI maps in Boomi as part of the migration from Axway B2Bi.
• Develop and maintain EDI maps primarily involving XML-to-X12 and X12-to-XML transformations.
• Configure trading partners, communication settings, document routing, envelopes, acknowledgments, and related EDI setup.
• Support end-to-end EDI document flows, including inbound and outbound transaction processing.
• Work with common X12 transaction sets such as 850, 855, 856, 810, 940, 945, 943, 944, 997, and other retail, distribution, or 3PL-related documents as needed.
• Coordinate testing with trading partners, customers, 3PLs, and internal business teams.
• Troubleshoot EDI issues related to mapping, translation, partner setup, document failures, acknowledgments, and data transformation.
• Document EDI maps, trading partner configurations, testing results, and support procedures.
• Collaborate with IT, ERP, operations, customer service, warehouse/3PL, and business stakeholders to ensure successful partner onboarding and migration.
• Assist with production support and issue resolution during and after trading partner cutovers.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 3–5 years of hands-on EDI analyst, EDI developer, or integration experience.
• Experience working with Axway B2Bi, including map review, trading partner setup, document routing, and EDI processing.
• Strong understanding of X12 EDI standards and transaction sets.
• Experience creating or modifying EDI maps involving XML and X12 formats.
• Familiarity with EDI envelopes, acknowledgments, control numbers, partner identifiers, communication protocols, and document routing.
• Ability to troubleshoot EDI failures and identify issues in mapping, source data, partner setup, or platform configuration.
• Experience coordinating EDI testing directly with trading partners.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote contract role.
Preferred:
• Experience with Boomi, especially Boomi EDI, trading partner management, process design, and document mapping.
• Experience migrating EDI maps or trading partners from one EDI platform to another.
• Experience in consumer goods, retail, distribution, manufacturing, or 3PL environments.
• Experience with ERP-integrated EDI processes, including sales orders, invoices, ASNs, warehouse orders, shipment confirmations, and purchase orders.
• Familiarity with AS2, SFTP, FTP/S, VAN connections, or other common EDI communication methods.
• Experience working with large retail trading partners such as Walmart, Amazon, Target, Dick's Sporting Goods, Bass Pro, or similar customers.
