Job description

We provide a continuum of care in Residential Substance Abuse Treatment Programs, Transition Centers, and Community Release Centers, for offenders and probation populations. Join us in changing lives at our Lake City Bridge location as an Electronic Device Monitor, as this position plays a key role in our clients' continued success. In this role, we are looking for individuals with strong leadership skills and a passion for inspiring, helping and challenging others. The ideal candidate will be required to perform the following:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  1. Uninterrupted electronic monitoring of all inmates participating in an off property community activity to include paid outside employment and approved furloughs.
  2. Monitors inmate movement to and from community activities, immediately reporting any variation from pre-approved route or work location.
  3. Conducts daily inspections of all monitoring equipment to include related computer equipment, cellular devices, bracelets, charging cords and docking stations.
  4. Inventory and records all monitoring equipment at the beginning and end of each shift.
  5. Immediately report any damage, theft or loss of electronic monitoring equipment.
  6. Records and immediately reports monitoring equipment maintenance discrepancies.
  7. Enters data into the Electronic Monitoring Tracking System to include routes of travel, work schedules, job changes/additions and furloughs.
  8. Ensure electronic monitoring system maintains connection.
  9. Immediately investigate all alarm notifications and document each occurrence in the 3M system and within WRIMS.
  10. Ensure only relieved by a certified electronic monitor prior to any approved break or shift change.
  11. Review location data (tracking points) of all inmates on electronic monitoring to confirm compliance with all rules, zones and curfews by comparing the tracking points daily with the inmates approved schedule.
  12. Update the database of each inmate’s electronic monitoring connection, disconnection, or change in work schedule.
  13. Visually and physically inspect electronic monitoring equipment on a weekly basis to ensure it is sized appropriately and has not been tampered with or otherwise altered.
  14. Attend all electronic monitoring meetings and training, when requested.
  15. Maintain all daily, weekly, monthly Log Books, and any other electronic monitoring required documentation.
  16. Clock in and out utilizing the company time and attendance system.

  17. Must be able to perform the major functions of job with or without an accommodation.

  18. Required to attend all mandatory training specified by policy.

  19. Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.

  20. Report all Workers Compensation injuries, whether or not they require medical attention or not, to you immediate supervisor, the Business Administrator or the Facility Director.

  21. Report all breaches of company policy or code of ethics that you have knowledge of, hear about or see regardless of who is involved in the breach to your immediate supervisor or the Facility Director, or the HR Department if necessary.

  22. Report all unsafe conditions that could affect clients/inmates or employees which you become aware of to your immediate supervisor or the Facility Director immediately.

  23. To be eligible for promotion you must demonstrate organizational abilities and must have good written and oral communication skills.

  24. To be eligible for promotion to a supervisory position you must complete supervisory/team building training. This can be accomplished by checking out “How to Supervise People” CD from the corporate office and passing all tests with a minimum score of 80%.

The following qualifications apply:

  • A minimum of a High School diploma or GED required
  • Two (2) years of data entry, computer or administrative experience.
