Job description

Trinity Rail Maintenance Services, Inc. is searching for a talented team player to fill the open position of Career Welder - Night Shift in our Fort Worth, TX location!

Our products are an integral part of the supply chain that helps fuel our lives and our economy. Over the last 85 years, Trinity Industries has grown to over 6,000 employees strong with the common purpose of Delivering Goods, For the Good of All. 

As a Welder at Trinity, you'll apply appropriate welding processes to join, surface, fabricate, and repair parts of metal or other weldable materials according to layouts, work orders, blueprints, schematics, and sketches using manual, automatic welding, and/or semi-automatic welding equipment.  

What You'll Do:

  • Hand weld in all positions, fillet and groove
  • Perform repairs to subassemblies for final product
  • Perform oxy-fuel welding
  • Perform carbon arc welding
  • Conduct one or two NDE tests  
  • Follow all safety rules and practices
  • May be involved in safety committees or initiatives  
  • Perform other duties as assigned 

What You'll Need:

  • Minimum of 1 year of related experience
  • Experience with MIG and FCAW is required
  • FCAW (2G, 3G & 4G)
  • Ability to weld out of position (vertical & overhead)
  • May require working above ground (15 ft or more)
  • Must be able to climb ladders or stairs to reach objects; comfortable with heights.
  • May require working in narrow or confined work spaces for extended periods of time
  • Tasks may require physical strength and dexterity
  • May require extensive kneeling, bending and standing for long periods of time
