We are seeking a versatile and detail-oriented Shop & 3D Printing Technician to join our production team. This hybrid role requires an individual who is equally comfortable using traditional hand and power tools as they are operating cutting-edge digital fabrication equipment. You will be responsible for bringing digital designs to life, post-processing printed components, and collaborating on the assembly and finishing of custom projects.
Key Responsibilities3D Scanning & Digital Capture: Operate 3D scanners to capture physical objects, clean up mesh data, and prepare digital models for production.
3D Printing Operations: Set up, operate, and maintain various 3D printers (FDM/SLA). Optimize print settings, manage material inventory, and troubleshoot print failures.
Post-Processing & Finishing: Remove supports, sand, polish, and prepare 3D-printed parts for final assembly or painting.
Shop Fabrication: Use hand tools, precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers), and small power tools (dremels, bandsaws, sanders) to modify, fit, and assemble parts.
Quality Control: Ensure all fabricated components meet strict dimensional accuracy and quality standards according to project blueprints or digital files.
