Job description

Job Description We are seeking an entry‐level Quality Control Inspector who thrives in using precision test instruments such as calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, and programmable measurement tools to confirm product specifications and disposition of defective items according to established procedures. The role involves visual, mechanical, functional, and dimensional inspections across diverse medical device product lines, recording data in software systems and using Microsoft Word and Excel for documentation and quality reviews of device history records. You will serve as both reviewer and approver for products and documentation, ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements while mentoring junior staff and collaborating with cross‐functional teams. Work Schedule Onsite: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. Benefits Competitive Pay: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour. Responsibilities Perform inspection tasks using a variety of test instruments to measure values and record functional operation of components. Determine acceptability and recommend disposition of defective items per established procedures. Verify sample compliance to blueprints, drawings, and material specifications. Generate Non‐Conformance Reports for products found out of specification. Communicate with quality and development engineers concerning product and documentation defects. Utilize shop‐math techniques, dexterity, and mechanical aptitude to operate precision equipment. Complete tasks accurately and on time, paying close attention to detail. Review batch documentation for accuracy and completeness according to cGMP to ensure timely release of batches. Resolve documentation discrepancies and issues with manufacturing/operations personnel timely to allow product release. Responsible for final batch disposition, certificate of compliance, and/or analysis based on review of all associated documentation. Proactively work to maintain schedules. Build quality into all aspects of the material release process by complying with all quality requirements. Participate in continuous learning and problem solving. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Knowledge of calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, and programmable equipment (Keyence, OGP, Vision System & 3D scanners). Ability to work in a team setting or independently. Ability to read blueprints, drawings, specifications, and FAI. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities with competing priorities. Ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy. Monitor operations to ensure they meet production standards. Ability to inspect, test, and measure parts of all sizes and difficulty. Ability to operate electronic software and equipment. Recommend adjustments to assembly, inspection, and production processes. Ability to gather data, generate reports and present findings to peers of all levels confidently. Experience working on export‐controlled products from aerospace and defense customers. Preferred Educational Background & Experience Associate Degree. Vocational Technical Certificate.
