Construction Inspector (Transportation & Infrastructure)

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking Construction Inspectors to join our team in the transportation and infrastructure sectors starting in 2026. The ideal candidates will assist in overseeing construction projects, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and maintaining detailed records of daily operations. If you have specific specialties or experience related to the different scopes of transportation construction that is positive. (Examples include drone pilots, EEO Experts, Federal Documentation Experts, Traffic Control, Erosion Control, Public Information, structural specialists).

Key Responsibilities:

·        Inspect and monitor the quality and quantity of construction materials, methods, and processes.

·        Ensure proper documentation and handling of Traffic Control and Erosion Control responsibilities.

·        Review and interpret construction drawings and specifications, identifying discrepancies or conflicts.

·        Verify quantities of completed and ongoing work.

·        Maintain detailed records of contractor operations, including manpower, equipment, construction methods, and events affecting progress.

Successful candidates should be self-reliant but will receive guidance and support from senior field representatives. Experience with both simple and complex construction projects is highly valued. Candidates with specialties in transportation construction will be prioritized.

Qualifications:

·        Strong written and verbal communication skills.

·        Good driving record.

·        Ability to obtain required certifications and pass qualification tests within specified timeframes.

·        Ability to travel out of town for project assignments.

Preferred Qualifications:

·        Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or Engineering Management.

·        EIT Certification.

·        DOT Certifications.

·        Highschool Diploma with 5+ years of relative experience
