Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Interior Designer to lead diverse commercial interior projects across corporate, healthcare, higher education, transportation and government markets. This is a senior level opportunity for a design professional who can manage projects from initial programming through construction administration while building strong client relationships and mentoring junior staff.

The ideal candidate combines creative design expertise with strong project management, communication and leadership skills. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to business development, grow client partnerships and advance into a broader management position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead programming, space planning, design development and project delivery.
  • Oversee field verification, existing conditions, construction documents, specifications and finish/furniture selections.
  • Lead client presentations, consultant coordination and construction administration.
  • Manage project schedules, deliverables, quality and client expectations.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships and support repeat business and business development efforts.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior designers, promoting collaboration and design excellence.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading commercial interior design projects from concept through completion.
  • Strong knowledge of space planning, construction documentation, materials, furnishings and project coordination.
  • NCIDQ Certification required
  • Proficiency in Revit, Microsoft Office Suite, and Bluebeam Revu required
  • 3D rendering capabilities required
  • Excellent client communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong leadership skills with an interest in mentoring and future management responsibilities.
  • Experience with business development and client relationship growth preferred.

The expected salary range: 93K-107K
