Work you'll do
As a Manager in Pricing & Contracting, you'll work on engagements in a collaborative, team-based environment, partnering directly with clients. You'll lead engagements that strengthen pricing strategy, operations and U.S. government pricing compliance. You'll manage teams and own key workstreams while serving as the day-to-day client leader, translating complex regulatory and commercial requirements into practical, scalable solutions that improve accuracy, compliance, and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Government pricing and Medicaid
- Support clients participating in U.S. government programs by improving end-to-end government pricing capabilities, including calculation support and reporting controls (AMP, BP, ASP, NFAMP, 340B, URA) where in scope for the engagement.
- Support clients in maintaining effective and compliant processes for extending statutory and other government prices through stakeholder engagement, rebate processing, and the offer of discounted price lists
- Interpret evolving regulatory, sub-regulatory state and federal requirements and emerging voluntary programs to advise on implementation and operationalization of new pricing constructs including Most Favored Nation (MFN) based pricing constructs (e.g., GENEROUS, GLOBE, GUARD) and changes to existing Government Programs.
- Monitor and track evolving regulatory landscape across government programs and support in developing market leading points of view and market offerings.
- Assess and strengthen government pricing data, methodologies, processes, documentation, controls and systems to improve accuracy and audit readiness.
- Advise clients on the complexities of prescription drug State Price Transparency reporting requirements to support compliance with various state regulations.
- Support clients in developing and maintaining government contract compliance including managing risk related to pricing, discounting, rebates, chargebacks, and contracting strategies
- Advise on price restatements, disclosure strategies, and risk mitigation
- Provide expertise related to government pricing system configuration and optimization, including data validation, testing and reconciliation
Client delivery & workstream leadership
- Lead one or more workstreams end-to-end, including scope, workplan, deliverables, quality management, and day-to-day client stakeholder management.
- Manage project governance and team leadership, including project plans, budget and financials tracking, performance management, and coaching of junior practitioners.
- Produce executive-ready outputs (narrative and analytics) and present clear, actionable recommendations to client leaders.
- Support market making opportunities including engagement scoping and developing of points of view regarding emerging government and access programs
Business development & practice building
- Contribute to proposals and business development by shaping workplans, developing effort estimates, and helping lead client presentations, orals, and review sessions.
- Build reusable assets (templates, playbooks, training materials) to scale Pricing & Contracting delivery and accelerate onboarding.
- Contribute to thought leadership (e.g., whitepapers, conferences, webinars, and related point-of-view content).

- 5+ years of experience in pricing and/or contracting within life sciences, consulting, payers, providers, or related healthcare domains.
- Demonstrated ability to lead workstreams, manage teams, and deliver multiple concurrent work products in a client-facing environment.
- 2+ years of experience leading a team and influencing others, including coaching and mentoring other staff.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to translate analysis into clear executive recommendations.
- Experience with contracting processes (terms, governance, lifecycle steps) and risk/controls thinking.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $135,400 - $265,100.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
