Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

POSITION SUMMARY

This position will be a member of the MPA financial team and supports the MPA’s 340B program by assisting the 340B team operations, compliance, and program optimization. Primary duties will include reporting, managing virtual and physical inventory of 340B purchased medication, auditing claims that are determined eligible for 340B pricing, and assisting in development of processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and optimization. .

Essential Functions Statement(s)


  • Rules/Guidance Surveillance
  • Complete 340B University OnDemand training and remain current with program requirements.
  • Follows the regulations for the 340B Program and notifies team members of updates to regulation to ensure program compliance.
  • Assists with the Pharmaceutical Financial Assistance Program
  • Audits
    • Assist in the execution and documents self-audits of the 340B process. Coordinates and ensures remediation of findings.
    • Works with the 340B Compliance Analyst to complete day-to-day compliance review of prescriptions fulfilled by contract 340B pharmacy for program eligibility.
    • Assists with future projections of program viability, monitoring changing in pricing, medication volume, patient counts and other pertinent information.
    • Works with other 340B team members for external audits and quarterly reviews.
  • Buy and Bill Program
    • Completes patient eligibility for all patients requesting enrollment in the buy and bill program.
    • Educates patients on program guidelines, approval/denials into program and continued follow-up.
    • Collaborate with billing, finance and clinic to ensure patient eligibility, inventory

availability and appointment confirmation for patients in the buy and bill program.

  • Complete audit of buy and bill program.
  • Other duties
    • Assist in 340B required reporting submissions.
    • Assist in accuracy of 340B financial data
    • Participates in the Prime Vendor and routinely reviews 340B formulary pricing and potential alternatives.

Education:
Pharmacy Technician license preferred

Experience: Two years related experience in pharmacy, medical office, or medical billing
