Lakeside is currently seeking a skilled 2nd Shift Custom Assembler to join our dedicated team. This is a key role responsible for precision welding and assembly of stainless steel products that meet our high-quality standards and customer specifications.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Schedule: 4-day workweek - Monday through Thursday, 10-hour shifts
  • Shift: 2nd Shift 3:15 pm - 1:45 am
  • Shift Premium: $2.75/hour
  • Overtime: As needed, additional hours are available on Fridays
  • Work Environment: Culture forward, team-oriented, safety-first, free coffee, nice lunchroom


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assemble custom parts to one another by tightening nuts, bolts, screws, by riveting or spot welding parts together
  • Some plumbing and electrical
  • Read parts lists, blueprints, and drawings to assemble products
  • Operate the computer to enter work orders and print labels
  • Inspect parts and products for quality standards
  • Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc
  • Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations
  • Maintain departmental housekeeping standards

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Requires a high school diploma/GED equivalent, plus 3-5 years related experience
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to read and comprehend blueprints. .
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand up to 10 hours a day.
  • Vision requirements include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
