Material Handler: Beloit, Wisconsin

Our customer in Beloit, Wisconsin is seeking motivated individuals to join their team. Weโ€™re recruiting Material Handlers to work full-time on 2nd shift. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for organizing, preparing, and safely moving products to ensure smooth warehouse and shipping operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, attention to detail, and keeping a warehouse running efficiently.

Responsibilities of the Material Handler:
  • Work safely and responsibly at all times, following all warehouse and safety procedures.
  • Perform daily forklift and equipment maintenance checks.
  • Prepare and organize products for shipping, including weighing, labeling, stretch-wrapping, and staging.
  • Verify shipping paperwork such as Bills of Lading and Packing Slips to ensure accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, scrap, and bales.
  • Coordinate with production supervisors and office personnel to schedule shipments efficiently.
  • Assist with scrap trailers and loading as needed.
  • Keep the warehouse and shipping areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
  • Communicate maintenance needs for forklifts, docks, or warehouse equipment.
  • Work overtime when needed to meet production and shipping deadlines.
Material Handler Requirements and Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-3 months of related experience preferred.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow instructions, and communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to apply common sense and solve routine problems independently.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, reach, lift, bend, kneel, and operate equipment for extended periods.
  • Frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift and move up to 100 pounds.
  • Vision requirements include close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
