Job description

We are currently hiring for a Material Handler in the drumming area who responsible for the efficient movement, storage, and handling of materials and products within the warehouse and production areas. This role ensures the accurate and timely delivery of materials to support manufacturing operations and meets all safety and regulatory requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Candidate must pass a fitness for duty test, drug screen and submit to a TB test on a post offer employment physical.
  • Receive, store, and distribute raw materials, chemicals, and finished products according to company standards and safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts, stock checks, and data entry into inventory management systems.
  • Safely load and unload materials from trucks, using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
  • Inspect and verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy, condition, and compliance with documentation requirements.
  • Ensure all materials and products are properly labeled, documented, and stored according to company policies and regulatory guidelines.
  • Inspect materials for quality, report any discrepancies or damages, and coordinate with quality control teams to resolve issues.
  • Follow all safety procedures and regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of hazardous materials.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the warehouse and production areas.
  • Keep all material handling equipment in the superb condition by noting and reporting any damage or malfunction and completing regular equipment inspections.
  • Job is performed on site. No remote work offered for this position.
  • Follow safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job.
  • License to operate forklift.
  • Wear personal protective equipment as required.
  • Ability to operate a forklift.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma, preferred.
  • Previous experience in production facility as a material handler, preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods standing, walking or driving a forklift.
  • Ability to carry heavy loads of up to 50 pounds or more, while lifting, pushing, reaching, or pulling.
  • Ability to pass a respirator certification and wear appropriate respiratory protective equipment as necessary.
  • Work in an uncontrolled environmental setting where temperatures can be extremely cold, hot or humid depending on the outside temperatures.
  • Work in an environment where there can be unexpected, sudden loud noises, beeping backup alarms, flashing lights and sudden movements.

Work Schedule

  • Monday-Friday 4:00 pm to 12:00 am (shift start time and length can vary based on business and production needs)
  • Overtime required as business needs dictate.
  • Work environment is on site. Remote work not offered for this position.

Pay

  • $19.00 per hour.
