Material Handler

Job Summary:

The Material Handler is responsible for the movement, storage, and control of materials throughout the warehouse, manufacturing, and distribution processes. This role ensures that raw materials, components, and finished goods are accurately received, transported, and supplied to production lines and shipping areas. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming raw materials and components. 

• Transport materials to storage, production, or staging areas. 

• Supply production teams with required materials. 

• Move finished goods to storage or distribution areas. 

• Pick, stage, and prepare materials for shipping. 

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment. 

• Maintain accurate inventory records. 

• Perform cycle counts and assist with audits. 

• Label and organize materials for efficient workflow. 

• Follow FIFO or other inventory control methods. 

• Maintain clean and safe work areas. 

• Report damaged materials or discrepancies. 

• Collaborate with warehouse, production, and shipping teams. 

• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 

• Experience in warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution preferred. 

• Forklift certification preferred. 

• Basic understanding of inventory control. 

• Ability to read work orders and shipping documents. 

• Strong attention to detail. 

• Good communication and teamwork skills. 

• Basic computer skills.

Physical Requirements:
