We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient 2nd Shift Material Handler to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing materials, ensuring accurate inventory, and supporting warehouse operations. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Unload deliveries and verify shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices.
  • Inspect incoming materials for damage, defects, or discrepancies.
  • Communicate any shortages, damages, or nonconformance to Quality and Purchasing.
  • Actively enter receiving transactions into ERP systems.
  • Ensure all materials are properly labeled and barcoded according to company standards.
  • Support put-away of materials into correct storage locations.
  • File and maintain accurate records of incoming shipments.
  • Ensure receiving paperwork is complete, accurate, and properly routed.
  • Communicate with Purchasing, Planning, and Logistics on delivery status or issues.
  • Assist in daily cycle counts and reconciliation activities.
  • Ensure all transactions match physical material flow.
  • Support investigation and resolution of inventory discrepancies.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures for material handling.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment safely.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of receiving dock and staging areas.
Essential Skills
  • 1+ years of experience in warehouses, receiving, or material handling in a manufacturing environment.
  • Forklift experience required.
  • Ability to use an ERP system and carefully track and document material flow.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret packing slips, purchase orders, and invoices.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods.

Work Environment

This role operates on a 2nd shift schedule, Monday through Thursday from 5pm to 3:30am, with a 10% shift differential. Training will occur on the first shift. The position may require mandatory overtime on Fridays to meet production deadlines. The work environment involves standing, walking, and handling materials with physical requirements including the ability to lift and move up to 35 pounds, use of personal protective equipment, and good manual dexterity.
