Our 82,000-square-foot Spartanburg, SC facility is a state-of-the-art packaging plant serving a diverse range of industries, including medical, pharmaceutical, and nationally recognized consumer brands. Our capabilities include sheetfed offset printing, narrow-web flexographic printing, die cutting, and custom folder/gluer operations, all supported by advanced inline quality control systems.

Position Summary

Quad is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to lead our second-shift production team at our Spartanburg packaging facility.

In this role, you will oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensuring production schedules are achieved while maintaining the highest standards for safety, quality, and productivity. You'll provide leadership, coaching, and support to production employees while partnering with maintenance and other departments to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

  • Lead daily manufacturing operations to ensure production schedules and customer commitments are met.
  • Supervise, coach, train, and develop production employees in a collaborative team environment.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure quality standards and customer specifications are consistently achieved.
  • Promote and enforce all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Identify production issues and implement timely solutions to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
  • Manage labor, equipment, and material resources to optimize productivity.
  • Track production performance and maintain accurate manufacturing, quality, and safety records.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and waste reduction.
  • Partner with maintenance and other departments to support efficient plant operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

  • Three or more years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • Previous experience in the printing or packaging industry is required.
  • Experience with die-cutting, sheetfed press, and folder/gluer operations is required.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and production workflows.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with workplace safety regulations and quality management practices.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and employee development skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management abilities.
  • Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • A close attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to adapt to changing production priorities.
  • Willingness to work overtime as business needs require.
