Job description

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.

This National Guard position is for a AIRCRAFT ENGINE MECHANIC SUPERVISOR T32, PDD1634000 and is part of the AZ 161st Air Refueling Wing, National Guard.

Qualifications:Military Grades: E-6/TSgt (immediately promotable) to E-8/SMSgt
[NOTE: All applicants in the rank of TSgt/E-6 must be immediately promotable IAW DAFI 36-2502 Table 10.1 as of the closing date of this announcement]
Compatible Military Assignments: Must possess or be able to obtain AFSC 2A6X1
[NOTE: If applicant does not already possess AFSC 2A6X1, they must qualify per AFECD requirements]
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: In addition to the journeyman level knowledge [experience or training performing standard, routine assembly and disassembly operations and making prescribed modifications to aircraft engines, engine assemblies, and accessories. Experience or training performing maintenance overhaul, troubleshooting, testing, and repair of aircraft engines, engine components, and powertrains for fixed and/or rotary wing aircraft. Experience determining maintenance needed from work orders, inspection reports, historical records, and diagnosis] applicant must possess at least 36 months experience demonstrating the ability to plan, direct, and organize work assignments of lower grade personnel. Experience which required the review of work requirements and establishing priorities to meet deadlines. Experience that provided knowledge of various lines of work performed by this function. Experience which demonstrates the ability to supervise or the potential to perform such duties as evidenced by the ability to communicate knowledge of general supervisory concepts, and knowledge of shop processes. Experience in adapting existing equipment and techniques to new situations.Education:You must provide transcripts or other documentation to support your Educational claims.
