Role: Global Financial Services, Senior Director, Banking Leader

You are an accomplished Banking industry leader with deep experience across retail banking, commercial banking, payments, digital banking, and core modernization. As a trusted advisor, you understand the business, technology, regulatory, and competitive forces shaping the banking industry and can translate market trends into actionable strategies for clients.

Your track record demonstrates an ability to help banking clients navigate complex challenges, build executive relationships, and deliver measurable business outcomes through strategy, technology, and operating model transformation.
Who You'll Work With
Our Global Industry team provides clients with deep industry perspectives and differentiates Slalom through expertise, context, and insights tailored to the industries we serve. Industry leadership is critical to helping our clients navigate disruption, accelerate transformation, and achieve meaningful business outcomes.
In this role, you will report to the Global Financial Services Leader and serve as a trusted advisor for Banking. You will work closely with regional Financial Services leaders, account teams, capability leaders, alliance partners, and delivery teams to advance Slalom's Banking strategy and market presence globally.
What You'll Do
  • Provide strategic guidance and advisory services to banking clients across retail banking, commercial banking, payments, lending, deposits, treasury, and digital banking.
  • Drive and influence $12.5M+ in attributed sales through strategic pursuits, executive relationships, and market development activities.
  • Help shape Slalom's Banking go-to-market strategy, industry offerings, and priority growth initiatives.
  • Conduct ongoing analysis of industry trends, competitive dynamics, regulatory developments, fintech disruption, and emerging technologies to inform client and market strategies.
  • Support and sponsor complex banking transformation programs, helping clients navigate modernization, AI adoption, customer experience, operating model change, and platform transformation.
  • Maintain a utilization target of approximately 20% through strategic client advisory and executive engagement activities.
  • Partner with regional leaders, account teams, practices, and alliance partners to create differentiated solutions and accelerate growth.
  • Build and connect the Banking community across Slalom, fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and industry alignment.
  • Drive thought leadership internally and externally through conferences, executive forums, POVs, client events, and strategic partnerships.

What You Bring
  • 15+ years of experience in Banking, Financial Services consulting, and transformation leadership.
  • History of building and influencing multimillion-dollar sales pipelines and strategic client relationships.

  • Deep expertise in one or more banking domains, including commercial banking, retail banking, payments, treasury, lending, deposits, digital banking, or core banking platforms.
  • Strong understanding of banking regulatory and compliance environments, modernization priorities, and industry transformation trends.
  • Experience leading large-scale banking transformation, technology modernization, or operating model change initiatives.
  • Proven ability to build credibility and influence executive stakeholders, including C-suite and business-line leaders.
  • Experience developing industry offerings, thought leadership, sales assets, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring teams, supporting pursuits, and driving measurable business results.
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field preferred.
  • Banking, payments, technology, AI or cloud-related certifications are a plus.

For this role, we are hiring at the following levels and targeted base pay salary ranges: The targeted base salary pay range for Senior Director is $248,000 $397,000, and the targeted base salary pay range for Director is $214,000 $321,000. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
