Sterling Engineering is hiring a Product Development Manager for a global leader in advanced power electronics and industrial control systems. This is a high-impact leadership role where you’ll drive innovation, lead engineering teams, and shape the future of cutting-edge technologies used across major industrial applications. Key Responsibilities:
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing engineering team focused on developing new VFDs, power electronics and control technologies
  • Drive research and development initiatives aligned with business strategy and long-term growth plans
  • Evaluate emerging technologies in power electronics, embedded systems, and control software
  • Recommend and prioritize R&D investments to maintain competitive advantage
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and resource allocation for engineering initiatives
  • Oversee engineering budgets, capital planning, and project expenditures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and global stakeholders to ensure successful product development
  • Establish strong relationships with internal business units, suppliers, and external partners
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives across engineering processes and team performance

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of power electronics, embedded systems, and control technologies
  • Experience managing engineering budgets, capital planning, and financial performance
