OTOLARYNGOLOGY SURGICAL SERVICE (1C FACILITY): MON-FRI, 8AM-4:30PM. NO STATE INCOME TAX.

Located just 75 scenic minutes from our nation's capital, the Martinsburg, WV VA Medical Center is seeking a Board-Certified Otolaryngologist to join the General Surgery/ENT Section of our Surgical Service.

THE DUTIES
You will evaluate, diagnose, admit, treat, and manage patients with diseases, disorders, and injuries of the:

  • Ear, nose, throat, head, and neck
  • Facial skeleton, upper respiratory tract, and upper alimentary system

Your Scope Includes:

  • Operative & Non-Operative Care:Consistent with approved clinical privileges and Level 1C facility capabilities.
  • Consultations:Inpatient and outpatient consults + follow-up care for patients referred by other clinical services and affiliated outpatient clinics.
  • Emergency Coverage:Provide emergency and on-call otolaryngology services as assigned (consistent with granted privileges).
  • Diagnostics:Order, interpret, and act upon diagnostic studies; implement treatment plans consistent with VHA standards.
  • Teaching:Educate and mentor medical students, interns, residents, technicians, and other physicians.
  • Team Collaboration:Participate in surgical staff briefings, interdisciplinary care coordination, and continuity of care across services.
  • Compliance:Maintain current licensure, board certification, credentialing, privileging, and completion of all required mandatory education/training.

Monday through Friday, 08:00 AM 4:30 PM

Requirements:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD/DO) from an accredited institution
