Description
Position Overview
We're hiring a Physical Therapist for a 13-week travel contract in the New River Valley. You'll be doing home health PT work - adult and geriatric patients in their homes, hands-on care, the full plan of care from eval through discharge. Our Blacksburg team is a tight-knit group that knows the New River Valley well, and travelers are treated as part of the team from day one. It's a good assignment for someone who wants a manageable caseload and a crew that has your back for the length of the contract.
Service Area
Based out of Blacksburg, with visits across the New River Valley - Christiansburg, Radford, Pulaski, Floyd, and the surrounding Montgomery and Giles County communities. You'll generally work the roads and towns closest to where you're staying.
What You'll Do
  • 13-week contract with the option to extend or convert to permanent if it's a fit
  • Roughly 25-30 units per week across the New River Valley
  • Starts of Care, evaluations, treatment planning, progress notes, and discharge - your patients, your plan of care
  • Document in the field on a company-issued tablet through WellSky
What We're Looking For
  • Active Virginia PT license
  • 1+ year of clinical PT experience
  • Home health and OASIS experience preferred - not required if you're willing to learn
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
  • Comfortable working independently in patients' homes
What We Offer
  • $60/hour, guaranteed 36 hours per week for the duration of the contract
  • Mileage reimbursement
  • Company-issued tablet for documentation
  • Extension and perm-conversion options available if you want to stay
